My clients had an old Mediterranean style wet bar in their bedroom left over from the previous owners. It didn’t fit with their aesthetic or needs. They wanted a built-in unit cubbyhole cabinet that could be used for storage and would look contemporary. I had done a large porch restoration with them a year previously so we had a very comfortable working relationship, really nice people to work with. I presented design drawings with some different configurations  for the cubbyholes and we collectively picked which one we thought worked best. this piece was big and heavy, challenge to move up a tight winding staircase that took some planning and two helpers. Once up the stairs it slid into the space beautifully, the result of some careful fitting ahead of time. The piece was sprayed with a satin finish alkyd/ latex paint for a super smooth finish.
