The front steps, rails and posts were in bad shape and the homeowners had seen a new porch I had re-built for a neighbor a couple years ago and contacted me to see about restoring theirs. The project involved propping up the tall 10′ columns and removing and rebuilding the floor which was also in bad shape. All the railings and lower panels with balusters were rebuilt as well as the front steps,rails and newel posts which I redesigned. The porch is 30′ wide so a pretty big project.
