This piece was for a new home that the homeowners were wanting to add some custom elements to. The living room had a large 17′ wall with a large centered window that the envisioned having floor to ceiling bookcase cabinets on either side of with a large window seat spanning the center section. I was referred by other folks I had worked for in ur neighborhood, we looked at some other pieces I had previously designed and built and started the design process on this one. Design drawings were presented and approved. First I built the cabinet bookcases and once they were installed had the precise measurements to do the fitting I needed for the integrated window seat. the window seat has three clear polyurethaned storage boxes with lids with soft close hinges. Super cool to design and build and really great people to work for, five minutes from my home/ shop. A win/win all around. All pieces were sprayed with a super smooth satin finish.
