I needed a better workbench that would be super solid with no give or vibration and a really stable vise for the chisel/ mortise and tenon work and planing I’m doing on furniture grade pieces. This is kind of a poor man’s version mostly made out of common pine 2×4’s and 2×6’s with some heavy pieces of oak inset for the stops holes (bench dogs) and vise jaws and end panels. It’s really heavy as it needs to be but the castors that lift and lower on the legs make it really easy to move around. The tray underneath holds a lot of small power tools adding even more weight for stability. A larger end vise is planned for the future. (Click on the right side to scroll through photos).
