These tables were built for our own home. My wife has wanted new bedside tables for a long time and being busy combined with not sure what kind of wood I wanted use has kept them on hold. A couple months ago I saw some furniture built out of Tiger Maple that was absolutely gorgeous and inspired to work with that wood which I hadn’t done before. I couldn’t be more blown away by the finished Tiger Maple, the finish is achieved with three coats of aniline dyes in two different custom mixed colors topped with three coats of oil base polyurethane. They are a fairly classic Shaker aesthetic in design, mortise and tenon construction with beveled legs and Baltic Birch dovetailed drawer boxes.
